The state government has decided to construct godowns with a capacity of 25 lakh metric tonne in the state within a year.
Further, the government has enhanced loan amounts to farmers from Rs 50,000 to Rs one lakh under Rythu Bandhu scheme.
Addressing farmers after inaugurating a godown at Kurnool agricultural market yard on Wednesday, chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy said that farmers can obtain loans up to Rs one lakh against storage of their crop in the government godowns under the Rythu Bandhu scheme.
