Water in Srisailam reservoir has reached 869 feet against its FRL of 885 feet in the wake of copious inflows from Jurala and Tungabhadra. At present, 40,000 cusecs of water is flowing into the reservoir from Jurala.
For the last 15 days, there has been heavy inflows. However, water has not been released downstream. “We will release water from the reservoir only if the water reaches 885 feet and on orders from the state government,” dam assistant engineer Sudhir Babu said.
