TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu called on his brother-in-law and film actor N Balakrishna at the latter’s residence in Jubilee Hills here on Sunday. Both are understood to have discussed Balakrishna’s proposed tour of Krishna district, likely in the first week of October.
Former MLA Raavi Venkateshwar Rao, a close aide of Balakrishna, who joined the TDP recently, is likely to be declared as the in-charge of the constituency soon. The TDP leadership is planning to organise Venkateshwar Rao’s oath-taking ceremony in Gudivada in a big way. The oath-taking ceremony is likely to be held in the first week of October in which Balakrishna would take part. While attending the oath-taking ceremony, Balaiah will stay at his native village Nimmakuru in Krishna district. He will review the party activities and suggest TDP local leaders to take corrective steps to strengthen the party at all levels.
