CM pacifies leaders

Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana had to face the wrath of some Congress leaders at a  party meeting at Mahbubnagar on Sunday.

When the meeting was about to begin, some second-rung leaders raised slogans against the leadership, complaining that committed leaders in the party were getting a raw deal and were being ignored for postings in the party and the government. They alleged that the leadership was favouring rich leaders who were much junior to them. The party was not even taking opinions of senior leaders who were not wealthy, they said and demanded filling of nominated posts at earliest.

The CM intervened to assure them that henceforth he would consider accommodating committed workers and senior leaders in party posts.
