Deputy chief minister Damodara Rajanarasimha and PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana called on panchayat raj minister K Jana Reddy at the latter’s residence in Banjara Hills here on Thursday night and discussed party affairs over half an hour.

Since all the three leaders are said to be open detractors of chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, the meeting of these leaders assumed  political significance. Moreover, the meeting took place at a time when the Congress high command is focusing on the party affairs in the state and is scouting for a solution to the Telangana issue.

Interestingly, neither Jana Reddy nor Rajanarasimha participated in the meeting with ministers from the Telangana region held by the chief minister on persuading the TJAC to postpone its Telangana March scheduled for September 30.

In the morning, both Rajanarasimha and Jana Reddy had held a meeting with some ministers and legislators from Seemandhra and Telangana  on the Assembly premises to discuss the power crisis and blamed the chief minister for the crisis.
