Orders on September 24 on Raghav bail

Emaar scam accused GV Vijaya Raghav pleaded with the special court for CBI cases on Thursday that he be granted bail as one of the main accused in the scam, Koneru Rajendra Prasad, had been granted bail by the High Court and Srikanth Joshi and Shravan Gupta, the co-conspirators as alleged by the CBI, were also out on bail. The CBI, however, opposed the bail petition and said the accused might influence witnesses if granted bail.  Its counsel said that Vijaya Raghav, in conspiracy with the other accused, Emaar MGF Land CEO Srikant Joshi and its chairman Shravan Gupta, sold 31 villa plots in the Emaar Township.

Of these, Raghav negotiated the sale of 13 plots himself and the other 13 were allotted to the 10 companies floated by Shravan Gupta and Srikanth Joshi.
