Chiranjeevi submits list of men for posts to CM

Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member K Chiranjeevi met chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy here on Sunday and submitted a list of his choices for the nominated posts in the government.

The mega star, who is expecting a berth in the Union cabinet in the upcoming reshuffle of the cabinet, urged Reddy to fill the posts at the earliest and give due share to leaders of the erstwhile Praja Rajyam.

Chiranjeevi, who has been firing salvos at the PCC leadership alleging lack of coordination among the leaders, expressed his displeasure over the inordinate delay in filling the nominated posts and urged Kiran Kumar Reddy to speed up the process of filling up of nominated posts as the second-rung leaders in the party were getting frustrated over the delay.

Talking with reporters later, he said he had requested the chief minister to give due share in the nominated posts to the erstwhile PRP leaders who are now in the Congress after the merger. He also said that he had requested the chief minister to remove the VAT on  diesel.

Chiranjeevi, a former MLA from Tirupati, sought allocation of Rs 400 crore for development of the Tirupati Assembly constituency as promised by the chief minister in the past.
