CPM backs Telangana March

The CPM's state committee, which has been opposed to the demand for bifurcation of the state, has now decided to support the Telangana March scheduled to be held under the TJAC banner in the city on September 30.

Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, CPM state secretary BV Raghavulu said his party still strongly supported the concept of linguistic states and yet recognised the right of Telangana organisations to express their views and organise protests over the government's indecision and delay tactics on their demand.

He alleged that the government was suppressing the people's movement by using coercive measures.
