In a throughly shocking incident, a six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by two minor boys on September 16 in an abandoned house at Betapudi village of Bapatla mandal, in the evening hours after school.

The incident came to light only Wednesday after a complaint was lodged by the victim’s mother. According to Vedullapalli police, the victim, studying in first standard in Betapudi village, was allegedly raped by two boys aged 10 and 11 years respectively. The two boys are studying fourth and fifth class in the same village.

The girl complained of bleeding and stomach pain to her mother but did not mention the reasons for the same. When she insisted, the victim told her that two boys of the village had committed the heinous act on the evening of September 16 in the village.

The victim’s mother took her to the Government hospital in Chirala Wednesday for a medical check-up. Later, she lodged a complaint with the Vedullapalli police. Bapatla circle inspector K Mallikarjuna Rao inspected the spot where the offence was committed. A case has been registered and the accused are yet to be nabbed.

Man killed by speeding truck

GUNTUR: A pedestrian lost his life in a hit and run case on the National highway in Chilakaluripet town Tuesday night. According to Chilakaluripeta police, Syed Mahaboob Subhani (58) of Subhani Nagar, Chilakaluripet town, was knocked down by a speeding truck while he was crossing the road. Locals noted the truck number and informed the police.

A case has been booked and investigation is on.
