Digvijay tells Lagadapati and Co to shut up

Congress state affairs incharge Digvijay Singh on Monday warned party MPs and state ministers from Seemandhra against “going public” in support of Samaikyandhra.

Speaking to reporters in Delhi, he said, “I request Rajagopal (Vijayawada MP) and senior ministers from Seemandhra not to go public on the issue. We will do everything possible to address the concerns of Seemandhra NGOs, students and people.”

Digvijay Singh’s warning comes in the wake of the Centre receiving reports that the MPs are lending support to the NGOs who went on strike on Monday midnight. He reiterated that the decision taken by the Congress working committee (CWC) was final as it was taken after extensive consultations with political parties.

The CWC has taken the decision and the Home Ministry will initiate the process for formation of a Telangana state, Digvijay Singh said.
