Chiranjeevi, Canadian minister discuss tourism plans

Union minister of state for tourism K Chiranjeevi met Canadian minister of tourism Maxime Bernier in New Delhi on Tuesday and discussed the need to strengthen the ties between India and Canada to encourage tourism in both countries.

Both ministers agreed to exchange cooperation in tourism sector and discussed the possibilities of working together towards exploring new opportunities in tourism sector, especially investment in tourism, HRD, exchange of tour operators and information related to the travel.

A possibility of signing an MoU between both countries was also discussed besides promotion of joint venture in the field of industry and tourism infrastructure sector, a possible FDI in hotels and tourism.
