BJP plea to governor

A BJP delegation led by party state president G Kishan Reddy met governor ESL Narasimhan at the Raj Bhavan here on Friday and sought action against MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi for his alleged hate speech and hurting the Hindus sentiments.

In their memorandum they said MIM had been indulging in communal politics. Akbaruddin made blasphemous comparisons openly ridiculing the Hindu gods, they said.

The delegation included Bandaru Dattatreya, K Laxman, E Lakshminarayana, Baddam Bal Reddy and N Ramachander Rao.

KTR’S VIEW: TRS MLA K Taraka Rama Rao said in Kothagudem that YSRCP president YS Jagan was behind Owaisi’s hate speech. Jagan and his family were opposed to formation of Telangana state, and instigated Owaisi to make that speech to divert Congress’s attention when it was preparing to take a decision on Telangana, he said.
