Income Tax officer of Nellore C Jaya Shanker, who was arrested by the Tirupati police on Monday for allegedly misbehaving with a woman onboard the Hyderabad - Tirupati flight, was produced before the V additional court here on Tuesday and sent in judicial remand for 15 days.
Speaking to Express, Renigunta rural inspector N Ramkumar said following the complaint from the woman officer of railways, they detained Shanker at the airport and sent him to SVR Ruia government general hospital for medical examination. It was revealed in the report that though he had consumed alcohol, he was sober while travelling, indicating that he might have misbehaved with the woman deliberately.
