Was the public meeting held at Nirmal with prior information to the organisers that MIM legislator Akabaruddin Owaisi would make an inflammatory speech?
This question was put to MIM Nirmal town president Azam Bin Yahiya by Nirmla police who took him into custody at 10 am on Sunday. Yahiya, who surrendered before Nirmal police on Jan 8, the day on which Akabaruddin was arrested in Hyderabad and brought to Nirmal, was remanded in 14-day judicial custody and lodged at Nirmal sub-jail. Later, police filed a petition seeking his custody.
On Saturday, Nirmal munsif court allowed the petition and granted the police one-day custody of Yahiya. The accused is to be returned to the sub-jail by 10 am on Monday morning.
Meanwhile, RIMS doctors had examined Akabaruddin twice on Sunday--once in morning and once in evening. Since it was a Sunday, there were no mulaqats.
