Byreddi ends Deeksha with Rayalseema demand

The 52-hour Rayalaseema Simha Garjana at Indira Park ended on Saturday evening with Rayalaseema Hakkula Parirakshana Vedika founder-president Byreddi Rajasekhara Reddy sending out a warning to Rayalaseema leaders that if they mortgage the self-respect of the people of the region, they would be consigned to history’s dustbin.

Rajasekhara Reddy, who is opposed division of the Rayalseema region, wanted the sate to remain united and, in the event of division, Rayalaseema state be carved out.

He said after he began the deeksha, the Rayalaseema leaders began talking sense that either the state stays united or a Rayalaseema state is created.
