Further distancing itself from the political legacy of the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy, the Congress on Monday celebrated the birth anniversary of the former chief minister as a very low-key affair.

Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana and Rajya Sabha member KVP Ramachandra Rao garlanded the YSR statue at Panjagutta. Ministers Vatti Vasanth Kumar, Pinepe Vishwaroop, Danam Nagender and M Mukesh Goud were present at the occasion along with the others.

Later, Botcha, along with Ramachandra Rao, paid floral tributes to the portrait of late YSR at Gandhi Bhavan.
