39 Sarpanches to be elected unanimously

As many as 39 sarpanch aspirants in the district are poised to get elected unopposed.

The government will sanction Rs 5 lakh to each village for developmental activities in the villages for electing the candidates unopposed. The villagers have reportedly come to an understanding to elect candidates unanimously. Only one nomination each was filed in 15 villages of the Tenali Revenue Division, 13 villages in the Guntur Revenue Division and 11 villages in the Narasaraopet Revenue Division.
