RINL director is EIL’s interim MD

Umesh Chandra, director (operations) of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL), has taken over the additional charge as interim managing director of Eastern Investments Ltd (EIL) with the ministry of steel accepting the resignation of Satish Chandra, former managing director of EIL, Bisra Stone Line Company Ltd (BSLC) and Orissa Minerals Development Company Ltd (OMDC).

Umesh Chandra was heading the mining operations at RINL, earlier known as VSP, and has the requisite experience to lead EIL, BSLC and OMDC, RINL said in a statement on Monday. 

BSLC is on the path of revival and all efforts are being made for stepping up its performance. Clearances for operations of OMDC is expected any time from the government and focused efforts are being taken in this direction for expediting the clearance for resumption of operations.
