Two persons were arrested today with a huge quantity of explosive material, including 400 gelatine sticks and 250 electric detonators, in Erramanzil here, police said.
Based on tip-off, sleuths of the Commissioner's Task Force (South Zone) apprehended two stone-cutting workers--V Yadaiah and G Mallaiah-- and seized illegally stored explosive material from their possession, they said.
Mallaiah, during his interrogation, confessed he had brought the explosive material from Yadiah, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police B Limba Reddy said.
The duo allegedly indulged in selling the explosive material without any license or work permit to customers at higher prices, he said.
