Reverend Jaya Rao Polimera was installed as the second bishop of RCM Peetam, at a meeting conducted in St Xavier High School here Thursday. Thousands of Christians participated in the ‘episcopal ordination’. Prior to this, an impressive rally was organised from TTD kalyana mandapam to the school.
Later in the day, Vatican ambassador Salvatore Pennacchio read the order of appointment of Jaya Rao sent by Pope Francis from Vatican.
