Khan to urge RTC staff to ease strike

Vice-chairman and managing director of APSRTC AK Khan will be meeting protesting employee unions in Tirupati to request them to run buses during the Brahmotsavams.

Vice-chairman and managing director of APSRTC AK Khan will be meeting protesting employee unions in Tirupati to request them to run buses during the Brahmotsavams.

The employee are on strike for Samikyandhra cause. The Brahmotsavams are scheduled to be held from October 5 to 13. Last year, around 800 buses were used by passengers to commute to Tirupati from across the state and neighboring states like Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

A union leader said decision regarding the issue will be taken at the JAC meeting which will be held on Tuesday.
