Four pilgrims killed in accident

Four members of a family from Bangalore were killed when their van caught fire at Palamaneru, about 100 km from here, on Wednesday.

The family were returning to their home town Sampang Ram Nagar in Bangalore city after offering prayers at Lord Venkateswara temple at Tirumala, when their vehicle caught fire as its petrol tank got burst, police said.

The victims were identified as G V Satyanarayana, his wife S Mahalakshmi, daughter G S Deepamala and son G Prashanth.
