State exempts market fee on rice

The State government on Saturday permanently exempted one per cent market fee on rice being sold outside the state as well as exported to other countries. The exemption on export to outside the state within the country and to other countries will be subjected to production of necessary documentary evidence by the rice millers of the export of such rice by export housesparties etc., to the authorities. The state government issued orders to this effect on Saturday. It may be recalled that the government has already exempted eggs and chicken from levy of market fee permanently.
