GUNTUR: Guntur collector Kantilal Dande ordered agriculture and other allied department officials to be thoroughly prepared for chief minister Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to the district on August 13 and 14. The visit was earlier scheduled for Aug 6 and 7 but has later been postponed.

Speaking at the review meeting held at the collectorate here Thursday, Dande directed officials to prepare presentations with all the details relating to agricultural loans, loan eligibility cards (LEC) issued to tenant farmers, number of people availing of insurance in agriculture and allied sectors like animal husbandry.

The collector also ordered civil supplies officials to give procurement status and details of cold storages. He reviewed  market yards on the occasion. The chief minister will interact with farmers at Lam Farm and participate in a meeting with women self-help groups in Ponnur constituency as part of his visit.

District revenue officer K Nagababu, Agriculture JD Sridhar, DRDA PD P Prashanthi, horticulture department officials Chandrababu and J Binny and fisheries deputy director Balaram among others participated in the review meeting.
