NALGONDA: Major Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao said Telangana demands another tribunal for distribution of Krishna waters. Harish Rao and State Education Minister G Jagadeeshwar Reddy came to Nagarjunasagar to release water to the Left canal here on Wednesday. The water released to first zone will irrigate 3,20,000 acres.

Addressing a press conference later the irrigation minister said that the earlier Brijesh Kumar Tribunal worked for water distribution in united state and since the state is bifurcated now, there is a need for another tribunal. Injustice was done to Telangana at the time of Nagarjunasagar project construction, he added.

The government has released water to Alimineti Madhava Reddy project to fill 90 tanks to provide for cultivation and drinking water. Andhra rulers are the root cause for the present power crisis, he said.

TRS MLAs Gadhari Kishore, K. Prabhakar Reddy, Banda Narendar Reddy, Dubbaka Narsimha Reddy were also present.
