Services of Vizag-Secunderabad Weekly Special Trains Extended

To clear extra rush, the Railways has decided to extend the services of a pair of A/C

VISAKHAPATNAM: To clear extra rush, the Railways has decided to extend the services of a pair of A/C superfast special express trains between Visakhapatnam and Secunderabad for two more trips. These trains will also stop at Duvvada, Anakapalle, Tuni, Annavaram, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem, Eluru, Vijayawada, Warangal and Kazipet in both the directions.

The Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Special Superfast Express (02728) will depart Secunderabad on Fridays (August 22 and 29) at 10.10 pm and arrive in Visakhapatnam the next day at 10.35 am. In return direction, the Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Special Superfast Express (02727) will leave Visakhapatnam on Saturdays (August 23 and 30) at 7.05 pm and reach Secunderabad the next day at 7.50 am.

The railways will also run a pair of weekly special express trains between Kochuveli and Guwahati for four trips via Visakhapatnam. The Kochuveli-Guwahati Special Weekly Express (06336) will leave Kochuveli on Sundays (August 10, 17, 24 and 31) at 12 noon, arrive in/depart Visakhapatnam the next day (Monday) at 8.35/8.55 pm and reach Guwahati on Wednesday at 8.15 am.

In return direction, the Guwahati-Kochuveli Weekly Special Express (06335) will leave Guwahati on Wednesdays (August 13, 20, 27 and September 3) at 11.25 pm, arrive in/depart Visakhapatnam on Fridays at 1.20/1.40 pm and reach Kochuveli the next day at 10.30 pm. These pair of trains will halt at Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Palasa, Brahmapur, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Bhadrak over East Coast Railway.

Computerised Reservation Terminal Opened

A new Computerised Passenger Reservation Terminal, under the scheme of India Post PRS, was installed in the post office at Bakkanapalem Road of Madhurawada in the city Friday where people can book their advanced reservation tickets in working hours from 8 am and 1 pm.
