KURNOOL: A youth threw acid on a girl after she rejected his marriage proposal at Chagalamarri mandal head quarters on Tuesday. Lal Basha (25), a native of Mutyalapadu village in Chagalamarri mandal, worked at a bricks factory in mandal head quarter. He was in love with a 20-year-old co-worker for the last two years.
On Monday he expressed his love for the girl. However, she rejected his proposal, following which Lal Basha threw acid on the victim on Tuesday morning.
Locals admitted the victim in a hospital and handed over the accused to police.
