GUNTUR: District collector Kantilal Dande has directed the concerned officials to create awareness among people of rural areas about the importance of constructing Individual Sanitary Latrines (ISLs) and achieve the target of building 1.25 lakh ISLs by September 30.
Addressing the officials through a video conference here Thursday, the collector ordered them to make all payments to the beneficiaries in time and see that they do not face any inconvenience during the construction of the ISLs.
“The officials should see that the construction material including sand, cement, fly ash bricks and sanitary ware are made available to the people, who come forward to construct the ISLs,” Kantilal said.He told the officials of Rural Water Supply (RWS), housing, revenue and DRDA to coordinate with each other for the implementation of the scheme.
