Govt May Allot More Funds to the City’s Police HQ

VIJAYAWADA: Director general of police (DGP) JV Ramudu conducted a review meeting with the police officials and took stock of the situation here Saturday.

According to the sources, CP AB Venkateswara Rao asked the DGP to take steps for setting up a control room to improve police communication and allot funds for setting up of necessary wings at the makeshift capital.

The meeting was significant in the face of the city being declared as the makeshift capital.

It is learnt that the government is contemplating alloting more funds to the temporary state police headquarters.

Vijayawada city police commissioner AB Venkateswara Rao, Eluru range deputy inspector general of police Hari Kumar and Krishna district superintendent of police G Vijay Kumar and others attended the meeting.
