KAKINADA: Hundreds of people rushed out of Devi Multiplex Theatre in panic here Wednesday when the hall management raised an alarm ring at around 1 pm, asking the viewers to vacate the hall.

It took place when the police control room received a hoax call saying that a bomb was planted in the theatre. Following the call, police rushed to the theatre with the bomb squad and sniffer dogs. After a thorough search, they announced that no bomb was detected.

Later, the police traced the call to a mobile phone from Rajahmundry area.
