VISAKHAPATNAM: The Kerala Kala Samithi, Visakhapatnam, has lined up a string of programmes to celebrate Onam, the most auspicious festival of Kerala, in a grand manner. The organisers detailed the celebrations to newsmen here Friday.
Around 3,000 Kerala residents in Visakhapatnam and adjacent areas would take part in the celebrations at Kerala Kala Samithi at Muralinagar here on Sunday. As part of the celebrations, an orchestra team ‘Klaps Rhythm of Music’ from Kerala will perform a musical show, said the organisers.
The traditional Kerala dances will be organised by Kerala artistes. ‘Onasadya’, the traditional lunch of Kerala and a special event for the occasion, will top the celebrations. The organisers said that Kerala’s Akshaya Foundation will present its prestigious Akshaya Puraskaram to the City’s Kerala Kala Samithi on the occasion.
