Deputy CM Launches Neeru-Chettu Programme

PEDDAPURAM: Deputy chief minister and Home minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa launched Neeru-Chettu Programme here Sunday and planted a sapling to lead the drive.

Later, he said the government was particular about implementing the programme effectively across the state. It is the duty of every one to protect the environment, he added. Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu launched the programme in Nellore Sunday. It was planned to plant 71,000 saplings in Peddapuram division in phases.

Municipal chairman Raja Suribabu Raju, revenue divisional officer R Kurmanadh, deputy superintendent of police Aravinda Babu and others were present.
