Governor Allays Fears Over Safety of Andhras in City

TIRUMALA: “Everybody will be safe and happy and there is no need to worry about or fear anything”.

This was the reply of AP and Telangana Governor ESL Narasimhan to a question on the safety of AP in Hyderabad by newsmen during a brief interaction with them after having ‘darshan’ of Lord Venkateswara at the Hilltop Temple here on Monday.

Narasimhan, who arrived here after visiting the Padmavati temple at Tiruchanur, had the ‘darshan’ of Lord Venkateswara along with the common pilgrims in the evening.

In his unique style, he countered the newsmen’s question saying: “Did anything happen during the last two years? Why are you worried and why you people are posing such questions?” and added:”Nothing will happen, I assure you. Take it for granted”.

On the security arrangements for the Ganesh ‘Nimajjanam’ in  Hyderabad post bifurcation, the Governor said the deployment of security forces would  be the same as in the earlier years. Replying to another question, he said: “For Lord Venkateswara Brahmothsavams, scheduled to begin on September 26, whatever best we can do, we will do”.

Earlier, while going for the ‘darshan’ of Lord Venkateswara, the Governor inspected the newly- introduced three-level queueline system inside the sanctum sanctorum which has won the appreciation of multitude of pilgrims.

An impressed Narasimhan later told newwmen that newly-introduced three-level arrangement at Bangaru Vakili would help the common man to have an eyeful of the Lord without being pushed and pulled.

‘‘The move will also ensure that the VIP ‘darshan’ will not disturb the common lines”, he added.
