TTD EO Launches Rs 300 Advance Booking System

TIRUPATI: TTD EO MG Gopal on Wednesday launched the `300 advance booking darshan system at TBC 129 Tirumala along with Tirumala JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju.

Speaking to reporters, he said with an aim to provide hassle free and speedy darshan to pilgrims, the TTD has commenced issuing of the advance booking of `300 special entry darshan tickets (one week before) on August 20 on trial basis in Internet Booking and e-Darshan counters and the darshan for the pilgrims who booked in advance is formally launched on Wednesday.  He said the top most priority of the temple administration is to provide a convenient darshan to pilgrims. “On the instructions of CM N Chandrababu Naidu, we have introduced this time bound speedy darshan system on trial basis and are hopeful of positive results”, he said. 

On the whole, out of the total of 5000 tickets in these two modes, 3199 pilgrims booked the tickets and only 2782 availed the darshan facility on Wednesday in different time slots.  With the successful launch of `300 one-week advance booking darshan on Wednesday, the temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTDs) has made a move to release the same under one day and two weeks advance booking quota also.

But, initially only 1,000 tickets of `300 under one day advance booking has been released which is made available only on Internet on a trial run. These tickets will be available on the Internet only from 9 am onwards on August 28.
