VIJAYAWADA: A final year student at the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies - Y Srikanth Prasanna Kumar - allegedly committed suicide around 2 am Thursday.
The deceased was a resident of Ungaturu in West Godavari district.
According to Nuzvid SI A Prasad , Srikanth Prasanna Kumar (20) and his room mates had an argument over a missing mobile phone Wednesday night. Srikanth’s roommates had suspected him in the mobile theft.
After the argument, the students went to sleep. They were woken up by a heavy sound around 2 am. Soon, the students and the staff woke up hearing the cry of Y Srikanth and saw him lying in a pool of blood.
It is said that Srikanth went to the terrace of a three-storeyed building and jumped to death.
He was was rushed to the Nuzvid Government Hospital where he was declared brought dead.
A case was registered and investigation is on.
