HYDERABAD: YSRC member Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, while taking part in the debate in the Assembly, objected to the way the State government has decided to hike the house rent allowances of Ministers as the State is passing through grave financial crisis now. “Is it fair for the Ministers to hike their allowances at this juncture? At a time when commoners are donating their salaries and money for the construction of new capital, what is the need for the Ministers to enhance their allowances? Is it appropriate for the government to do like that when the issue of pay revision of government employees has been in pending for the past one year?” he said.
