HYDERABAD: The Congress has joined chorus with the YSRC in demanding the resignation of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu from his post following allegations against him in the cash-for-vote scam.

“CM Naidu is the kingpin behind the recently surfaced note-for-vote scam in Telangana. He is trying to lure MLAs of other parties in Telangana with the ill-gotten money he is earning in AP by resorting to corrupt practices. He has earned crores of rupees in the past one year through corrupt means,” alleged APCC president N Raghuveera Reddy.

First time after bifurcation, AP Congress heavyweights together undertook a deeksha in Hyderabad against the policies of TDP government.

Led by former Union minister MM Pallam Raju, Rajya Sabha member KVP Ramachandra Rao and Raghuveera Reddy, the Congress seniors sat on a dharna at Indira Park here on Monday.

Gunning for Naidu’s scalp, Raghuveera Reddy alleged that Naidu had masterminded the cash-for-vote scandal. Charging Naidu with indulging in corruption, he demanded that a CBI probe be ordered into the one year rule of TDP in AP.

“Naidu should be made Accused No 1 in the  cash-for-vote scam,” Raghuveera alleged.
