ANANTAPUR: Members of the US Consulate, Hyderabad, met JNTU-A vice-chancellor Prof K Lal Kishore at his chambers here Monday and discussed the visa procedures for the students who are willing to pursue higher studies in the United States.
After the meeting, Prof Lal Kishore told newsmen that the Consulate officials briefed him that there is a need for creating awareness among the students on the visa procedures.
He said the members of the Consulate informed him about the MS programmes in various universities of the US and the procedure to get admissions into them.
They also briefed about the funds which are needed for research works, he said. The V-C said that all the details pertaining to visa procedure will be put up on the JNTUA website from July.
US Consulate members Salil Khader, T Senthil Kumar, JNTU-A registrar Prof S Krishnaiah, foreign affairs director Prof V Sankar Rao and others officials were also present in the meet.
