

VISAKHAPATNAM: Collector N Yuvaraj released the Army Recruitment Rally notification along with deputy director, General Recruitment (AP, TS and Tamil Nadu), Brigadier SN Dalvi here Tuesday.
Revealing details of the recruitment at a news conference, the collector said that the recruitment would start on July 3 and conclude on July 13 at Indira Priyadarsini Stadium in the city. There is an election code of conduct in force but the administration took permission from the Election Commission to conduct the Army Recruitment Rally, Yuvaraj said.
The candidates, who have completed 17 years of age from Krishna, West and East Godavari, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Puduchhery and Yanam could participate in the event for the recruitment of soldier general duty, technical, nursing assistant, tradesmen, clerk and store keeper (technical). The administration had decided to conduct a special training camp for the tribal youth in the agency areas for the event, the collector said.
On the occasion, Brigadier Dalvi revealed dates for various regions for the event. He said that the event would be conducted for Visakhapatnam and Anakapalle divisions on July 3 and 4, Paderu and Narsipatnam divisions on July 4 and 5, Srikakulam division on July 5 and 6, Tekkali division on July 6 and 7, Palakonda division on July 7 and 8, Vizianagaram division on July 8 and 9, Parvathipuram division on July 9 and 10, West Godavari and Yanam candidates on July 10 and 11, East Godavari and Krishna districts on July 11 and 12. The army official advised all the youth not to entertain middlemen as the entire recruitment would be done on merit basis and there is no fee for the recruitment. Army recruitment officer Pawan Raj Singh was present.
