HYDERABAD:Even as the Telangana ACB is preparing to issue notices to Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s close aide and Rajya Sabha member CM Ramesh in the cash-for-vote scam, the TDP MP refuted the allegation of the TS government that the money seized by the ACB from TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy was drawn from his bank account.

Reacting to information that ACB might issue notices to him in the scam here on Tuesday, Ramesh clarified that he did not have any role in the scam and that he did not have an account in the Dhanalakshmi Bank as claimed by the ACB.

“When I do not have an account in the bank, how can one draw money from it?,” he wondered.

Accusing the TRS government of making false allegations against him, Ramesh said the TS government was dragging his name into the controversy only to harass him.

“They don’t have any concrete proof against me. They are playing a mind game for political gain,” he alleged.

“The cash-for-vote case should have been dealt with by the Election Commission. But, in order to make it a political issue and defame the AP government, the TRS government is using the ACB,” he alleged.

According to him, the audio tape aired on a few TV channels was a clear indication that the intention of the TRS government was to defame Naidu.
