VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Chambers of Commerce and Industries Federation on Wednesday welcomed the release of Rs 1,500 crore for creation of infrastructure and development in the capital region.
In a statement president M Prabhakara Rao and executive director P Bhaskara Rao said that the allocation of Rs 461 crore for flood water management and allocation of Rs 903 crore for comprehensive underground drainage system in Guntur would go a long way in the development of the area. Housing would take a new lease of life with the allocation of Rs 276 crore for housing in Vijayawada, Tiruapati and Visakhapatnam.
