Water Supply to Pulivendula Promised

KADAPA: Stating that people of Pulivendula have a right to get water from Chitravati river through Pulivendula Branch Canal (PBC), AP Legislative Council deputy chairman SV Satish Kumar Reddy said the government is committed to supplying water to Pulivendula region irrespective of political considerations.

He was speaking at a review meeting on Parnepalle Reservoir here on Wednesday. The government will take steps to restore normalcy regarding supply through PBC and the irrigation ministry has already issued orders to both district administrations in this regard, he said.

Urging political leaders to avoid disputes in water sharing, he said every region has a right to its water share. Pulivendula Summer Storage (PSS) tank will be supplied water from Kamasamudram lake, which is connected to PBC, he assured.
