Naidu Leaving for Delhi Today

HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu would leave for Delhi on Saturday for a two-day visit.

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi had invited all the Supreme Court judges, Chief Justices of the high courts and the chief ministers of all states for a dinner at his official residence in New Delhi on Saturday, Naidu is going to Delhi to take part in the programme.

During his stay in Delhi, Naidu would take up pending issues related to AP, especially financial assistance, special category status, tax incentives, water sharing issues, inter-state disputes and implementation of promises made in the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014, with various Union Ministers.

Naidu is also likely to take up the issue of entry tax imposed by TS government on vehicles originating from AP with the Centre.

With the BJP leadership asking its AP unit leaders to counter the allegations made by TDP government on Central assistance due to the state, Naidu’s visit to Delhi had gained significance.
