VIJAYAWADA: City-based Diabetic specialist and director of VGR diabetes specialities hospital K Venugopala Reddy has received the ‘Diabetes awareness initiative award -2015’ at 6th World Diabetes specialists conference held at Chennai, for creating great awareness among the public regarding the diabetes in the region.
Addressing a press conference at VGR diabetes specialties hospital here on Friday, K Venugopala Reddy said that for the past 10 years, the hospital has been working hard to create awareness among the public including children by conducting medical camps and various awareness programmes in rural, urban areas and at various colleges.
“We have conducted more than 1,500 awareness programmes and 450 radio programmes,” he said.
