SI Caught Taking Bribe

 MACHILIPATNAM:ACB sleuths caught R Peta sub-inspector GVV Satyanarayana while taking bribe for not registering a case against a carpenter here on Friday.

P Subba Rao, who had purchased a cot and mattress from a shop, could not pay up the amount in instalments.

Satyanarayana demanded a bribe of  Rs 5,000 for not registering a case against him based on a complaint from the shop owner. Rao approached the ACB and on their direction offered ‘marked’ money to the police officer, who was caught red-handed.
