Focus on Roads, Says Minister

VIJAYAWADA: Roads infrastructure will be developed in both rural and urban areas to give a fillip to industrial development in the region, roads and buildings minister Sidda Raghava Rao said.

Laying foundation stones for various developmental activities in Kankipadu and Vuyyuru mandals on Sunday, the minister said in the 10 years of the Congress rule, there was no development of R&B roads. He said understanding the importance of roads, the government had prioritised it and allocated Rs 2,500 crore for road repair works alone.

He said the Chief Minister is striving for the development of the state on all fronts and is working hard for construction of the new capital, now named Amaravati. Penamaluru MLA Bode Prasad was present.
