ACB Traps Village Revenue Officer

VISAKHAPATNAM: Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested the Village Revenue Officer (VRO) of cluster 1 of Tagarapuvalasa while accepting a bribe of `8,000 from a person, in return for clearing his certificates Wednesday. The arrested was identified as K Eswara Rao. According to ACB DSP K Ramakrishna Prasad, the complainant, T Parasuram, had applied for legal heir certificate through the Mee Seva centre. Eswara Rao, demanded money for signing this certificate. The petitioner then approached ACB, who laid a plan to trap the  official. Petitioner handed over the money, coated with chemicals. Later, authorities arrested him.
