CBI Court Allows Jagan to Visit Jerusalem, UK

HYDERABAD:  It would be the first foreign trip by YSR Congress chief and leader of opposition in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy after he got bail in the alleged disproportionate assets case in 2013. The CBI court on Wednesday allowed Jagan to visit Jerusalem, France and England.

Jagan is likely to visit these countries in June or July. During the arguments, the CBI opposed Jagan’s plea alleging that the YSRC chief was trying to delay the trial and drag the proceedings.

In 2013, the court ruled that Jagan should not leave Hyderabad without its permission, while granting him bail.

Jagan had applied to the court for permission to travel to Jerusalem, France and England for 15 days in June and July. After hearing arguments from both sides, the court allowed him to visit the foreign countries.
