Pvt Hospitals Should Comply with RTI Rules

VIJAYAWADA:  State Information Commissioner M Vijaya Nirmala said private hospitals should provide information regarding the implementation of government schemes in their facilities under the RTI act.

The Commissioner scrutinised about 26 complaints pertaining to health care at the sub-collector’s office here on Friday and issued show-cause notices to the officials in 13 cases besides imposing a penalty of Rs 2,000 in the remaining 13 cases.

“All the private hospitals should display the fee details and should maintain no-objection certificates from the fire department and pollution control board along with other necessary documents,” she said.

“About 266 private hospitals in Ongole are violating the RTI rules,” she said.
