HSL Conducts Mock Fire Fighting Drill

VISAKHAPATNAM: As a part of the Fire Service Week, Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) conducted a mock fire fighting and rescue operation drill here Saturday at its yard.

The fire service personnel of the company led by senior manager (S&FS) N Panigrahi gave a demonstration of the drill and mock rescue operation in order to educate all employees of the company on fire safety and fire fighting techniques in case of an emergency.

HSL chairman-and-managing director Rear Admiral (Retd) NK Mishra, NM, IN, the chief guest, in his address stressed prevention of fire accidents through safety practices and emphasised safe house keeping and usage of approved electrical appliances.

Senior officers and representatives of the recognised union, other unions and associations were present.
